- He plans a large global launch after finishing his current film commitments
- He says one of the songs is right for Rihanna if he gets a chance to collaborate
Himesh Reshammiya has said he has already composed 15 songs for an English-language international album. He made the claim in a conversation with Komal Nahta, and said the album will be launched on a very large scale.
Asked about an international singer he would like to work with, Reshammiya first made the revelation. He said he has written, sung and composed the 15 songs in English, and that they do not sound imitative. He said he is waiting to plan the launch because he has been busy with many films.
Reshammiya said he would launch the album internationally in the same way he was launched as a singer in India. He pointed to his recent entry into Bloomberg's list of top pop stars in the world, and said the time was right. He said the first single will be unveiled globally in a grand fashion. He described the album as aimed at a universal audience that listens to English music.
His comparison and his collaboration wish
Reshammiya said the album would sound very different from his earlier work. He compared the reaction to what people felt when he sang Aashiq Banaya Aapne in 2005. He described the songs as romantic and said he was very excited about them.
When asked about his dream collaboration, he named Rihanna. He said that if he gets a chance to work with her, he has a song that is absolutely right for her.
The conversation did not give a release date for the album or the first single. It also did not say which label or distributor will handle the launch. Reshammiya's remarks were made in an interview and have not been backed by any official release from the album's producers.
