Hyundai records highest-ever monthly sales of 82,299 units in October

Hyundai Motor India said it sold 82,299 units across domestic and export markets in October 2026. That is its highest monthly total since the company began operations, and a rise of 17.7 per cent over October 2025.

Domestic sales rose 16.7 per cent year-on-year to 62,799 units, also a company record. Exports grew 21.1 per cent to 19,500 units. Domestic sales made up roughly 76 per cent of the month's total, and exports about 24 per cent.

The compact SUV Venue delivered 13,017 units in India, its best monthly domestic figure since launch. It accounted for about one-fifth of Hyundai's Indian sales in the month. Managing Director and CEO Tarun Garg said, "Strong festive demand, coupled with healthy momentum in both domestic and export markets, helped us set this new sales record."

Month-on-month comparison

Compared with September 2026, total sales rose 5.62 per cent from 77,916 units. Domestic deliveries climbed 9.85 per cent from 57,166 units. Exports, however, eased from 20,750 units in September, so the export figure fell month-on-month even as it grew year-on-year.

The result came during India's festive period, when retail demand for passenger vehicles typically rises. Hyundai has not said how much of the sales gain was driven by discounts or financing offers.

Hyundai also ships vehicles from its Indian plants to several overseas markets, which is why exports form a large share of its output. The company has not said what its sales outlook is for the coming months.
