Jio is offering four new voice-only packs. Validity runs from 22 days to one calendar month. The Rs 147 pack gives unlimited calls and 300 SMS for 22 days. The Rs 177 pack lasts 28 days with the same calling and SMS allowance. The Rs 196 pack lasts 30 days, and the Rs 197 pack covers one calendar month. Jio said the daily cost of the Rs 147 pack is Rs 6.68.

Following the regulator's directions
The launch comes after the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India told operators to include voice-only tariffs in their recharge catalogues. Airtel and Vodafone Idea have already introduced similar plans. Vi's voice-only packs start at Rs 179.
Jio says the plans are aimed at users of feature phones, people with multiple SIM cards, and those who rely mainly on Wi-Fi or other connections rather than mobile data.
For Indian customers, the change means a lower-cost option for anyone who needs only calls and texts. Users who want internet access on their phone will still need a data pack.
The announcements do not say whether the voice-only plans will be available in every state or circle.
