MINI will bring its electric Cooper SE back to India on 27 November 2026, alongside a Paul Smith Edition. The launch marks the return of the model, which was discontinued in India earlier.
The Cooper SE keeps the three-door hatchback shape of the brand, with round LED headlamps that can switch between light signatures and an octagonal grille. At the rear, flush-fitted tail lamps give it a cleaner look. Its design follows the latest-generation MINI Cooper.
The main highlight is a circular OLED display in the centre of the dashboard. The dashboard has a textile finish, which gives the cabin a different feel. The car also gets a voice assistant, a parking assistant that relies on a dozen ultrasonic sensors and four cameras, and a phone-based digital key that works through a smartphone.
The Paul Smith Edition adds styling inspired by the British designer's design language. The electric version comes in Midnight Black or Statement Grey. The black model has a roof that matches the body, finished with glossy and matte black stripes. Nottingham Green accents appear on the outside mirrors, the grille and the wheel hub caps, and the hub caps carry Paul Smith lettering. The edition sits on 18-inch alloy wheels in Night Flash Spoke Black and has Nightshade Blue seats.
MINI launched a separate Oxford Edition of its petrol Cooper in India in October 2026, priced at Rs 55.5 lakh ex-showroom.
A price for the Cooper SE and the Paul Smith Edition has not been announced. It is not yet known how many units will be offered or whether the special edition is limited in number.
