Hanuman Ansh to stream on SonyLIV after strong box office run

Hanuman Ansh, a Bollywood devotional drama about the life of Neem Karoli Baba, is set to stream on SonyLIV. The platform's premiere was announced on 7 November 2026, months after the film's theatrical release.

The film was released in cinemas on 7 August 2026. It was made on a budget of less than ₹2 crore. Its opening collection in India was ₹10 lakh, a modest start for a film with little promotion.

A slow start at the box office

The film received decent reviews from critics and moviegoers. Its early numbers were weak in the first two weeks, which was attributed to a lack of awareness and buzz. Word of mouth later drove audiences to theatres, and the film's earnings grew over its 90-day run. Its worldwide collections were far above its cost. Exact final figures have not been published.

Directed by Vishal Chaturvedi, the film has no major stars. Shobhana Satyaa plays the lead. The cast also includes Vihaan Shedge, Chandan K. Anand, Purnia Tiwari, Anil Rastogi, Gulshan Pandey and Bhagwandas Patel.

The story follows a young man named Lakshminarayan. Following the death of his mother, he searches for answers about God, life and death. His travels across North India lead to his becoming Neem Karoli Baba, a figure whose teachings still attract devotees.

Subscribers to SonyLIV will be able to watch the film once the premiere begins on the platform.

A confirmed streaming start date and subscription terms have not yet been announced.
