Ramayana
Ramayana, the mythological epic directed by Nitesh Tiwari and starring Ranbir Kapoor, Yash and Sai Pallavi, opened in cinemas on 5 November 2026. It earned ₹65 crore net in India across all languages on its first day, according to box office figures reported by trade outlets.
The film's Indian opening ranks among the largest for a Bollywood release. Trade figures list it fourth behind Dhurandhar 2, Adipurush and Jawan. For Ranbir Kapoor, it is his biggest opening day, ahead of Animal, which opened at ₹63.80 crore. For Sai Pallavi, it is her highest opening, beating Amaran at ₹21.40 crore.
Overseas and North America
Worldwide gross on the opening day was reported at about ₹127 crore. Overseas territories contributed around ₹50 crore gross. In North America, the film took in $3.39 million on its first day, including $1.9 million from premiere shows. The Hindi version accounted for most of that total. The trade figures place it second among Bollywood premieres in North America, behind Dhurandhar 2.
The earnings were lower than some expectations. Trade analysts had expected a bigger global start after a heavy promotional push. Box office outlets noted that the global debut did not match early forecasts.
Second day and outlook
Hindi box office estimates for Friday put the film at ₹36 crore to ₹38 crore, bringing the two-day Indian total to about ₹82 crore. Those figures were affected by the Dhanteras holiday. Trade estimates project a four-day total of around ₹164 crore, and say the next few days could be stronger as the Diwali holiday effect fades. These numbers are projections, not confirmed totals, and the film's distributors have not yet released official weekend figures.
Most of the figures come from trade estimates rather than audited returns, so later reports may revise them.
