Jasleen Kaur G has moved up to Head of Marketing at Bata India Limited, the footwear company. She shared the news on LinkedIn, writing that she was happy to start her new role at the company.
Kaur had been Head - Category Marketing & PR at Bata India since October 2024. In that job she ran brand management and marketing strategy across a wide portfolio. The brands included Bata, Hush Puppies, Scholl, Bubblegummers, Nine West, Power, Floatz and North Star.
Her earlier career
Kaur founded the venture Indiawood Global in early 2023 and ran it until October 2024. Before that she was Assistant Vice President - Marketing at Reliance Brands Limited, where she handled marketing and PR for Hugo Boss, Mothercare and Hamleys.
She spent more than seven years at Benetton Group. There she rose to Head - Marketing, Public Relations & Sustainability for India, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Myanmar. She also worked at Canon India in digital marketing and PR for over four years.
Her experience covers brand strategy, category marketing, PR and digital marketing across fashion, lifestyle, footwear and consumer goods.
Bata India has not yet said what the new role will cover in detail, or whether anyone has been named to replace Kaur in her previous position.
