Apple posts record iPhone revenue in China and India in latest quarter

Apple has reported record revenue in Greater China and an all-time high in India for its fourth quarter of 2026. The iPhone maker said revenue in Greater China rose 21% to a new high, driven mainly by its flagship smartphone series.

Apple said its iPhone revenue grew 17% to $57.6 billion in the quarter. The company said it achieved this despite supply and foreign exchange challenges. Apple also reported double-digit revenue growth in the United States and Greater China, and strong results in other emerging economies and developed markets.

Apple's new chief executive, Ternus, who took charge on 1 September, credited the results to customers upgrading their phones. He said upgraders in the US, Mainland China and India helped push revenue to record levels. Many buyers moved to the newer iPhone models, including the iPhone 18 Pro series, which launched on 9 September. Apple also introduced the iPhone Duo in the same period.

The company said Mac sales also contributed to the strong performance in India. Apple has not released the exact revenue figure for India in the quarter.

Apple has not said how much of the growth came from new buyers rather than existing customers upgrading. The company has also not detailed how supply and currency pressures affected its margins.
