Meta has added real-time voice conversations and animated avatars to its Muse app. Users can now speak with their AI assistant rather than typing, and watch it respond with facial expressions.

The feature, called Muse Voice, lets people talk through ideas without first writing an exact prompt. Muse follows the conversation as it goes and responds as the user speaks. The update is paired with Muse Realtime Avatar technology, which gives the assistant a face that reacts during the exchange.

Meta first showed real-time conversations with Muse at its Connect 2026 event. The company has now moved that preview into a wider release. Users can open the app, start a spoken exchange and see the avatar react as it talks.

The update builds on Muse, which Meta launched in the US in September. Meta has not said when, or whether, the voice feature will reach users outside the US.

Meta has not said whether Muse Voice is available in India or when it may arrive.

Meta has not given details on pricing, data handling for voice recordings, or how many users have access so far. Meta has not said how long the rollout will take.
