Ferrari's Luce electric car is fully allocated through 2027, according to chief executive Benedetto Vigna. Every car the company plans to build for next year has already been reserved by buyers.
The Luce is Ferrari's first all-electric model. It has also been one of the most debated cars the company has launched. Vigna's comments show that demand has held up despite the criticism.
When the Luce was unveiled, purists of the brand voiced strong objections to its design. Many longtime Ferrari fans said the car did not look like a Ferrari. The criticism spread widely online.

Despite that backlash, wealthy buyers have now taken the entire 2027 allocation. The number of cars involved and the price of the Luce have not been disclosed.
The result suggests that Ferrari's most affluent customers are willing to move into electric vehicles, even when the first model divides opinion. For the wider car market, it shows that a luxury brand can sell out a new model before its first deliveries.
Ferrari has not said when or whether the Luce will be sold in India.
It is not yet known how many cars Ferrari will build in 2027, or when production for 2028 will be opened to new orders.
