Honda unveils redesigned 2027 Africa Twin with bigger engine and three variants

Honda has unveiled a heavily redesigned 2027 CRF1150L Africa Twin range at the EICMA 2026 motorcycle show in Milan. The new family has three variants, including a newly added Enduro Sports model. Prices and release dates for India have not been given.

The biggest change is the new Enduro Sports variant. It joins the standard Africa Twin and the Adventure Sports version. Honda says the Enduro Sports has been developed with better off-road performance in mind.

Across the range, Honda has increased the engine's displacement to add power. The company has also worked to cut weight, which it says should improve handling in different riding conditions. Honda has not published the new engine size.

Part of the fuel tank has been moved beneath the seat. Honda says this lowers the centre of gravity and improves the bike's balance. The layout is one of the main engineering changes in this update.

The Adventure Sports variant also gets a notable first for the company. It is fitted with Honda SENSING RIDE, a new advanced rider-assistance system. Honda says this is the first time the system has appeared on one of its motorcycles.

The Africa Twin was one of several Honda models shown at EICMA 2026. The company also showed the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade, which has been heavily updated for 2027, and the V3R 900 E-Compressor concept, which uses an electronically controlled compressor. Honda is preparing a broad range of 2027 models for Europe.

Honda has not given a price, launch date or confirmation of sale in India. It has not said when the updated Africa Twin will reach the country, or which variants might be offered there.

Honda has not given further details on the Enduro Sports model or the SENSING RIDE system. Pricing, availability and full specifications are also still to be confirmed.
