A different kind of greeting
Shah Rukh Khan usually greets fans at midnight. This year he skipped that appearance and came out in the evening instead. Fans who travel to Mumbai from far away gather outside Mannat on the day.
The house also had a special look. Late on Sunday night, large visuals and dialogues from his film KING were shown on a giant screen outside the residence. The screen also displayed a handwritten message from him: "Thank you all for your wishes and love. Sending mine right back to you all."
Earlier, the first song from KING, "Tu Mil Jaaye", was released around midnight. The film is one of the most anticipated releases in Hindi cinema, and the song drop was part of the birthday celebrations.
How many fans gathered outside Mannat is not yet known, and no release date for KING has been given.
