Apple cannot say when iPhone Duo supply will meet demand

Apple has no timeline for when it will have enough iPhone Duo foldables to meet demand. Chief executive John Ternus said the company is working to get the phone to as many customers as it can as fast as it can. He said Apple is not yet able to say when supply and demand will be level.

Apple launched the Duo last month at $1,999. The phone has a 5.4-inch outer display and a 7.6-inch inner screen. Preorders sold out quickly, and some of those orders are expected to ship in 2027. Apple also sold a limited number of Duo models in its stores at launch.

Apple says production of the Duo is increasing. Even so, the company has not said when it expects delays to ease. Shipping dates have stretched into next year, and Apple has not given a date for when buyers who ordered later will receive their phones.

The Duo is Apple's first foldable phone. Demand has been strong among buyers willing to pay about $2,000 for a new device. Apple has not said how many units it has made or how many it expects to deliver in the coming months.

India has not been named as a launch market for the Duo, and no Indian price or release date has been given. Buyers hoping to get the phone soon should expect limited availability for now.
