Pebble launches Qore Vox screenless band with AI voice recording in India

Pebble has launched the Qore Vox in India, a screenless fitness band that can also record voice and turn it into text. The company says the band lets users capture meetings, lectures and personal ideas straight from the wrist. The device is on sale through Pebble's online store, Amazon and Flipkart.

The Qore Vox comes in three colours: Stealth Black, Storm Blue and Summit Brown. Users start a recording by double-pressing the side button. The band holds up to 100 minutes of audio on its own, so a phone does not need to stay connected during a recording. Once the band syncs with the Pebble Vox app, the audio can be converted to text and summarised using AI.

Languages and sharing

The app transcribes English, seven Indian languages and 24 international languages, Pebble says. Among the Indian languages are Hindi, Marathi, Telugu, Kannada, Gujarati, Bengali and Punjabi. Transcripts and summaries can be shared over WhatsApp or email.

Pebble says transcription and summarising carry no subscription or extra fee, and that it has set no stated limit on how many recordings the app can process. Recording begins only after the user double-presses the button. A blue indicator light on the outside of the band glows while audio is being recorded, to alert people nearby.

Health tracking

Beyond voice, the band uses 4PD sensors to track heart rate, heart rate variability, blood oxygen, sleep and stress. It also counts steps, calories and daily activity. It offers a Recovery Score and an health report generated by AI, drawing on recent sleep, activity and heart rate. The band supports more than 100 sports modes, detects walking and running automatically, and tracks GPS routes.

The price in India and the battery life have not been confirmed, so buyers should check Pebble's store or the retailer listings before buying.
