Maruti Suzuki recorded its highest monthly sales in October 2026, with total sales of 2,76,120 units, a rise of 25% from 2,20,894 units in October 2025.
Exports were the fastest-growing part of the business. Shipments rose 59% to 49,872 units, up from 31,304 units a year earlier. Domestic sales grew 20% to 2,16,789 units, compared with 1,80,675 units in the same month last year. Supplies to other automakers, which the company counts separately, rose 6% to 9,459 units.
Within the domestic business, passenger vehicles sold 2,12,384 units, against 1,76,318 units a year ago. Passenger cars rose 18% to 1,00,877 units. Utility vehicles grew faster, by 26%, to 97,787 units, leaving only 3,090 units between the two categories. The utility range includes Brezza, Ertiga, e Vitara, Fronx, Grand Vitara, Invicto, Jimny, Victoris and XL6. The Eeco sold 13,720 units, and the Super Carry, a light commercial vehicle, sold 4,405 units.
Strong first seven months
For the April to October period of the 2026-27 financial year, domestic passenger vehicle sales reached 12,92,624 units. That compares with 9,71,764 units in the same stretch a year earlier. Exports of electric vehicles have also crossed 50,000 units, with the e Vitara shipped to nearly 50 countries.
The growth reflects higher volumes in both passenger and utility vehicles, along with a steady rise in exports. For Indian buyers, the strong sales of the Brezza, Ertiga and other popular models point to shorter waiting periods in a market where utility vehicles now account for almost half of domestic sales.
The figures are monthly sales numbers reported by the company and do not show profit or price changes. It is not yet clear how long the export growth will last.
