What's new
Noise and Gaana have released a joint pair of wireless earbuds in India, called the Noise Buds R1 (Gaana Edition). The price is Rs 1,399. Gadgets 360 says the earbuds are on sale through Noise and Gaana's online channels. afaqs adds that the bundle includes a one-year Gaana Plus subscription, which it values at Rs 799. That plan brings ad-free music, offline downloads, HD audio and podcasts. Both outlets list the same core hardware. The earbuds have 11mm dynamic drivers, four microphones for noise reduction during calls, and a fast-charging feature called InstaCharge.
Why it matters
For a buyer, the bundle means a paid music plan comes with the earbuds at no extra cost for a year. Anyone who already pays for Gaana Plus should check whether the bundle suits them. The companies also plan to offer Gaana subscriptions across more Noise products.
What others say
afaqs quotes Gaana's Yatish Mehrishi calling it a step in a deeper partnership. Noise's Utsav Malhotra said the aim is to make premium audio and music more accessible. Gadgets 360 notes that Noise makes the battery claim itself, and afaqs reports a 120-minute playback from 10 minutes of charging.
What we don't know yet
The sources do not say how the extra Gaana subscriptions across Noise products will be priced or when they will arrive. Battery life is the company's claim and has not been independently verified in these reports.
