Zomato launches Limitless Delivery, allowing orders from restaurants up to 40km away

Zomato has launched a new service called Limitless Delivery, which lets users order food from restaurants up to 40 kilometres away within a single city.

The feature widens the area that Zomato's delivery network covers. Earlier, orders were mostly limited to restaurants close to the customer's neighbourhood. Users can now order from eateries located across town.

Food delivery apps have traditionally capped how far an order can travel. That limit has kept many customers from reaching restaurants that are farther away but may be better known or more suited to their tastes. Under Limitless Delivery, that cap is raised to 40 kilometres.

Zomato has not yet given details on delivery fees, delivery times, or whether the feature is available in every city.

For customers, the change means a wider choice of restaurants on the app. For restaurants located farther from a customer, it could mean more orders. Longer distances usually mean longer delivery times and possibly higher charges, though Zomato has not yet said how it will price the new range.

The launch is one of several moves by food delivery platforms to expand their reach and grow their customer base. Zomato has not said how many users or restaurants will be affected at launch.

Zomato has not yet given details on pricing, timelines, or city-wise availability for Limitless Delivery.
