Ramayana
Ramayana has crossed ₹40 crore at the box office on its opening day, according to box office tracking figures published on 5 November 2026. The Nitesh Tiwari-directed film, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Yash, had collected ₹20 crore by noon, so its earnings doubled over the afternoon and evening.
The figures show evening shows running at 37% occupancy. Bengaluru leads among cities, with ₹2.36 crore gross from 50,806 tickets across 315 shows. Its occupancy stands at 47.7%. Mumbai follows with ₹1.49 crore gross.
By state, Maharashtra tops the chart with ₹4.08 crore gross and 26.0% occupancy. Karnataka is close behind with ₹3.49 crore gross, but from just 481 shows. That gave it an occupancy of 54.0%, the highest of the major states. The National Capital Region is third with ₹2.23 crore gross.

Among multiplex chains, PVR leads with ₹5.36 crore gross from 179 venues, with occupancy at 40.0%. INOX follows with ₹4.46 crore gross from 153 venues, at 34.0% occupancy.
Telugu version performing well
The Telugu-dubbed version has also drawn attention. Tracking reports say it had scored above ₹4 crore net by the time they were written and could end the day close to ₹9 crore net, or slightly higher, as walk-in audiences grow. Those reports say the Telugu version may record the second-biggest opening for a Bollywood film in that language. The film's Hyderabad pre-release event is cited as one reason for the interest.
The response to dubbed versions has been uneven. The reports say Tamil and Malayalam versions have been weaker, while Kannada and Telugu versions are doing better.
The film's cast includes Sai Pallavi alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Yash. Ranbir plays Lord Ram and Yash plays Ravana.
For readers in India, the figures point to a strong start for a large-budget film across several languages. Ticket prices and show counts vary by city and chain, so the gross figures reflect local demand as well as the film's overall reach.
The final opening-day totals are not yet known, as evening and night shows were still running when the figures were published. Full-day collections and weekend numbers will show whether the early trend holds.
